At All Saints Episcopal Day School, growth often comes from listening closely to our community and reimagining what is possible. This year, we are excited to share an energizing new chapter in our school story: the rebranding and expansion of our athletics program as Riverhawks Athletics.
This evolution reflects more than a new look. It represents a renewed commitment to teamwork, school spirit, physical wellness, and belonging for our students across grade levels. Athletics at All Saints have always been about participation, perseverance, and joy. As Riverhawks Athletics, we are building on that strong foundation with greater intention and vision.
A key part of this growth is the expanded leadership of Mr. Mimms, who many families already know as our dedicated Physical Education and Health teacher. We are thrilled to share that Mr. Mimms has stepped into the additional role of Athletic Coordinator. In this expanded position, he is helping to shape a cohesive athletics program that supports skill development, sportsmanship, and a positive team culture. His enthusiasm, consistency, and deep connection with students make him a natural fit to lead this next phase.
“It has been my goal since my arrival at All Saints to see our students gain greater opportunities through athletics, clubs and extracurricular activities. We want to build a program where our students understand that success isn’t determined by if you win or lose but by the effort you put forth. The launch of our new mascot and athletic program is the beginning of an exciting new chapter at All Saints.” — Steven Mimms, Physical Education & Health Teacher and Athletic Coordinator
Adding to the excitement, we recently unveiled our new mascot, a powerful symbol of who we are becoming. The Riverhawk embodies strength, focus, and community, qualities we strive to cultivate in our students both on and off the court. This mascot launch marks an important milestone in our rebrand and reinforces a shared identity that unites our teams, students, and families.
“Collecting votes from our community and watching this idea come to life was such a joy. Go Riverhawks! I’m grateful to be part of a school that continues to grow and invest in athletics in meaningful ways.” – Jennifer Glidden, Director of Development and Community Engagement
As Riverhawks Athletics continues to grow, our goal remains rooted in our mission: helping students develop confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging. Whether students are discovering a new sport, cheering on their classmates, or learning what it means to be part of a team, athletics at All Saints are an extension of our values in action.
We are proud of this momentum and grateful to the faculty, staff, students, and families who make our community so special. The future of Riverhawks Athletics is just getting started, and we cannot wait to see where it takes us.
